Mary Ametani
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hi! My name is Mary Ametani. I am a Wisconsin Registered and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. I have been practicing massage therapy since 1998 and I am a professional member of the International Massage Association. I have over 650 hours of training, including the following modalities: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Sports Massage, Neuromuscular therapy, Reflexology, Lymphatic Massage, Sinus Massage, Aromatherapy, and Body Mobilization. I have also completed continuing education in Muscle Release Techniques for the treatment of chronic pain and repetitive use injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Most recently, I have completed continuing education in LaStone Therapy.

I incorporate into each massage part of all these modalities, tailoring each massage to suit the individual needs of the client. I listen to what each client is telling me about his or her own physical symptoms and apply this to how I will effectively treat each person. Whether their needs are relaxation for stress relief or treatment of acute or chronic pain, educating clients on the benefits of plenty of water and teaching the importance of stretching are all keys to helping each client achieve their desired result. Take advantage of a massage therapist who will give you her undivided attention. You’ll be glad you did!

“Mary is FANTASTIC! Always love my massages!”

Angela Lent
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hello! My name is Angie, and I’m so grateful to be part of the wellness team here at Kneaded Relief! My passion for massage began with a love for activity. In my household, we’re silent sports enthusiasts (cycling, paddling, x-country skiing, etc.). I’ve learned that performance is based on three things: training, fuel and recovery. Regular massage helps the body heal itself more efficiently by helping to maintain balance.

I graduated from Blue Sky School of Therapeutic Massage and Body work with an emphasis in medical/therapeutic work. I’m currently working towards certification in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy as well as Craniosacral Therapy. However, more than any one modality, what I am most passionate about is helping my clients feel better. No two massages are the same, and I work to tailor my treatment plan to each client’s needs.

I love giving massage as much as receiving it. Whether the goal is stress relief, therapeutic or general relaxation, I am going to do my best to help you feel better.

“Excellent massage from Angie, as always! She is thorough, perceptive, and professional. I always look forward to coming in to Kneaded Relief, and specifically, having a massage from Angie.”

Andrew Nepstad
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hi! My name is Andy and I am a licensed massage therapist who graduated from Madison College. For a while I was really struggling trying to find a career that suited my interests and fulfilled a desire to help people. I had a long path back to my education, along the way I quit drinking and smoking and started becoming very mindful of health and quality of life.

I believe my interest in wellness and the body developed within my study of traditional Chinese Kung Fu. Through my studies I have developed a strong focus and discipline that I have applied to various facts of my life. There are many elements of my training that can be used in massage therapy such as proper body mechanics, controlled breathing and learning to listen by feeling.

I am a certified instructor in Bei Shaolin Quan and have taught numerous different classes including strength and conditioning and full contact fighting (Lei tai). In 2010, I flew to Sao Paulo Brazil to compete in a tournament. Experiencing their culture and welcoming nature was an eye opening experience for me. I believe being a massage therapist similarly teaches you to be open and accepting of any individual that walks through your door.

During my time as a massage therapist I have found great reward in helping people even if it is as little as feeling more relaxed after a session. Being employed at Kneaded Relief has been very educational and fun at the same time. Everyone is very supportive of one another and it’s a great work environment. I’m passionate to keep learning new ways to better help my clients and have a good time doing it.

I’m a very easy going light hearted guy and my primary concern will always be a person’s well being. I will work hard to earn my clients trust because that is the most important thing that a therapist can receive in this profession.

“I had a massage with Andrew – it was amazing! He did a terrific job of explaining what was going to happen, asked what I was hoping to get out of our session together, and then did a wonderful job explaining what he “discovered” while giving me a massage, and how I could remedy my areas of concern. I would highly recommend him!”

Christine Otth
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hello and Welcome! I am a licensed massage therapist and I am very excited to be a part of the Kneaded Relief wellness team.

I graduated in 2009 from the East West Healing Arts Institute here in Madison.

My work routinely includes a combination of TuiNa (chinese medical massage), Acupressure and Swedish Massage and I may incorporate Deep Tissue massage and Myofascial Release technique.

I enjoy working intuitively and choose the technique that serves best your needs.

In January 2014 I was fortunate to spend 4 weeks in Switzerland, where I was taught a Deep Lymphatic Massage. Since then I am passionate about the Lymphatic System!

I grew up in a Ski Resort in the Swiss Alps and moved to Madison in 1997. Before I became a MT I was a Medical Technologist and used to work at the University Hospital in Switzerland and here in Madison.

As an enthusiastic skier and rock climber my sore muscles experienced the benefits of therapeutic massage pretty early in life… by now I know, that massage does not just treat your body it also relaxes and refreshes your mind and spirit.

I am looking forward to working with you!

“I came to Kneaded Relief for pain relief of my hip and Christine was so sweet and understanding of my issue. She was able to work out the issue and I am feeling better and am so much happier.”

Erica Jean Pooch
WI Licensed Massage Therapist

Hello there! I hope I get the opportunity to work with you.

I have been practicing massage since 2011. I began my college path with Graphic Design and realized that it wasn’t what I wanted to do in life. A friend suggested I go for Massage Therapy, but this career path had never even crossed my mind before. So I looked into the program liked what I saw, and enrolled at Globe University in La Crosse WI. After starting classes, I really enjoyed doing massage and I knew I had made an excellent choice.

Since graduating massage school I decided to keep going to college. I have always had a strong passion for art and after hearing about the amazing Art Therapy Program at Edgewood College, I packed my things and moved to Madison. I’m currently working towards my Masters in Art Therapy and minoring in Psychology and Studio Art. After completing my degree, I plan to work with Military men and women coming back from overseas who suffer from psychological disorders from combat exposure. I will be able to help them with the use of art, to help them express themselves through art rather than verbally expressing their experiences. I also plan to keep doing massage and bettering my skills.

In addition to everything I do, what brings me great joy is painting and drawing. In my spare time I do a lot of my own personal art work. I also like to go biking, hiking, shoot archery, snow shoe and read.

“Tremendous prenatal massage and spa experience. Erica Jean is very skilled and I would highly recommend!”

Pam Rosecky
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), Massage Department Manager

Hi! My name is Pam Rosecky and I am a Massage Therapist here at Kneaded Relief. I graduated from Spirit Touch Ins. in 1998 and specialize in relaxation massage and chair massage (I’ve done 5,088 chair massages). Besides my specialties in massage, I also perform Energy Work. Energy Work is really my passion. Everything and everybody is energy. I love to open doors for clients to relax. Clients heal themselves when they can melt and go to the place within themselves that is peaceful and sweet. A big piece of advice I would give to my clients is that your body talks to you all the time, listen to it and become balanced and harmonized.

Before I became a MT I owned my own daycare for 11 years. I also was a Surgical Technician specializing in ear, nose & throat. At that time in my life I realized that I felt old, tired and unhappy and that I was in need to find my personal way. Massage School provided me with the personal growth that I was searching for. I am now much happier, healthier, positive and younger.

In my spare time, what brings me joy is playing in the dirt (gardening), reading, making jewelry, and traveling. I have been to Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia to visit relatives and foreign exchange students. I also traveled to Guam to see my first grandson.

One of my great experiences in life was in 2002 when I was part of the Massage Team for the Winter Olympics-Paralympics in Salt Lake City. The first athlete wheeled his chair into the massage room; he had no legs from the thighs down. He asked me, “ Is this going to bother you to work on an amputee?”. I replied without hesitation “Absolutely not”.

Landing the position at KR was a huge gift from above. Everyone is so professional and fun to work with. They treat you like family and want you to succeed. I am doing the dance of happiness for all that is presented to me.

Life is good – enjoy. I am grateful to all who allow me into their personal space, Thank you.

“I had the most relaxing massage at Kneaded Relief. Pam was my therapist. She had the best neck massage leaving me feeling relaxed and peaceful. I am going back for more soon!”

Alan Rojas
Licensed Massage Therapist

Hi! My name is Alan Rojas. I grew up in Mexico. When I turned 17 years old, I had the opportunity to travel to the U.S. and visit my family. After several times of traveling back and forth to Mexico I decided to stay in the U.S. and learn the language and study. I graduated from Therapeutic Massage Program at MATC in May 2017.

I used to spend a lot of time with my grandpa. He used to be a massage therapist back in the day and taught me a few massage therapy techniques when I was a child, thus I learned the great benefit from massage therapy.

Therefore, I choose the massage therapy career to help people feel better. My goal is to specialize in sports massage and work with athletes and to assist to sports events worldwide. Also, I would like to become a personal trainer so I can provide both benefits to help clients have better quality of life.

“Alan was knowledgeable and professional. I left feeling relaxed and tension free.”

“He was professional, kind and listened to my requests and knew when my muscles were responding in various ways.”

“Alan was kind and considerate. Professional and talented. I felt at ease and so good after my massage. It was easy to be his client and peaceful to be at Kneaded Relief.”

Danielle Barron
Wisconsin Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Hi! My name is Danielle and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist new to Madison and excited to be a part of the Kneaded Relief family. I moved from Boston where I held both Massage Therapy and Cosmetology licenses. As a Cosmetologist I focused mainly on helping my clients on their paths to achieving their goals to happiness on the outside. While that’s a wonderful profession for some, it was more of a creative outlet for me. I ended up finding my true passion for helping others through wellness and bodywork.

My future interests include obtaining my personal training certificate and a degree in nutrition all while advancing my education in various massage modalities.

I believe that to truly feel good about and love yourself, you must take care of yourself from the inside out. That includes everything from what you eat and drink, your sleep patterns activities and exercise, self-care, through processes and of course your beauty regimen because you have to love what your see when you look in the mirror as well!

My overall goal with each and every client, no matter what the session entails, is to make sure that when they’re leaving, they feel better than when they walked in my room. Happiness is key!
