Mary Ametani
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hi! My name is Mary Ametani. I am a Wisconsin Registered and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. I have been practicing massage therapy since 1998 and I am a professional member of the International Massage Association. I have over 650 hours of training, including the following modalities: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Sports Massage, Neuromuscular therapy, Reflexology, Lymphatic Massage, Sinus Massage, Aromatherapy, and Body Mobilization. I have also completed continuing education in Muscle Release Techniques for the treatment of chronic pain and repetitive use injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Most recently, I have completed continuing education in LaStone Therapy.

I incorporate into each massage part of all these modalities, tailoring each massage to suit the individual needs of the client. I listen to what each client is telling me about his or her own physical symptoms and apply this to how I will effectively treat each person. Whether their needs are relaxation for stress relief or treatment of acute or chronic pain, educating clients on the benefits of plenty of water and teaching the importance of stretching are all keys to helping each client achieve their desired result. Take advantage of a massage therapist who will give you her undivided attention. You’ll be glad you did!

Mary is FANTASTIC! Always love my massages!”

Angela Lent
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hello! My name is Angie, and I’m so grateful to be part of the wellness team here at Kneaded Relief! My passion for massage began with a love for activity. In my household, we’re silent sports enthusiasts (cycling, paddling, x-country skiing, etc.). I’ve learned that performance is based on three things: training, fuel and recovery. Regular massage helps the body heal itself more efficiently by helping to maintain balance.

I graduated from Blue Sky School of Therapeutic Massage and Body work with an emphasis in medical/therapeutic work. I’m currently working towards certification in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy as well as Craniosacral Therapy. However, more than any one modality, what I am most passionate about is helping my clients feel better. No two massages are the same, and I work to tailor my treatment plan to each client’s needs.

I love giving massage as much as receiving it. Whether the goal is stress relief, therapeutic or general relaxation, I am going to do my best to help you feel better.

Excellent massage from Angie, as always! She is thorough, perceptive, and professional. I always look forward to coming in to Kneaded Relief, and specifically, having a massage from Angie.”

Andrew Nepstad
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hi! My name is Andy and I am a licensed massage therapist who graduated from Madison College. For a while I was really struggling trying to find a career that suited my interests and fulfilled a desire to help people. I had a long path back to my education, along the way I quit drinking and smoking and started becoming very mindful of health and quality of life.

I believe my interest in wellness and the body developed within my study of traditional Chinese Kung Fu. Through my studies I have developed a strong focus and discipline that I have applied to various facts of my life. There are many elements of my training that can be used in massage therapy such as proper body mechanics, controlled breathing and learning to listen by feeling.

I am a certified instructor in Bei Shaolin Quan and have taught numerous different classes including strength and conditioning and full contact fighting (Lei tai). In 2010, I flew to Sao Paulo Brazil to compete in a tournament. Experiencing their culture and welcoming nature was an eye opening experience for me. I believe being a massage therapist similarly teaches you to be open and accepting of any individual that walks through your door.

During my time as a massage therapist I have found great reward in helping people even if it is as little as feeling more relaxed after a session. Being employed at Kneaded Relief has been very educational and fun at the same time. Everyone is very supportive of one another and it’s a great work environment. I’m passionate to keep learning new ways to better help my clients and have a good time doing it.

I’m a very easy going light hearted guy and my primary concern will always be a person’s well being. I will work hard to earn my clients trust because that is the most important thing that a therapist can receive in this profession.

I had a massage with Andrew – it was amazing! He did a terrific job of explaining what was going to happen, asked what I was hoping to get out of our session together, and then did a wonderful job explaining what he “discovered” while giving me a massage, and how I could remedy my areas of concern. I would highly recommend him!”

Erica Jean Pooch
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Hello there! I hope I get the opportunity to work with you.

I have been practicing massage since 2011. I began my college path with Graphic Design and realized that it wasn’t what I wanted to do in life. A friend suggested I go for Massage Therapy, but this career path had never even crossed my mind before. So I looked into the program liked what I saw, and enrolled at Globe University in La Crosse WI. After starting classes, I really enjoyed doing massage and I knew I had made an excellent choice.

Since graduating massage school I decided to keep going to college. I have always had a strong passion for art and after hearing about the amazing Art Therapy Program at Edgewood College, I packed my things and moved to Madison. I’m currently working towards my Masters in Art Therapy and minoring in Psychology and Studio Art. After completing my degree, I plan to work with Military men and women coming back from overseas who suffer from psychological disorders from combat exposure. I will be able to help them with the use of art, to help them express themselves through art rather than verbally expressing their experiences. I also plan to keep doing massage and bettering my skills.

In addition to everything I do, what brings me great joy is painting and drawing. In my spare time I do a lot of my own personal art work. I also like to go biking, hiking, shoot archery, snow shoe and read.

Tremendous prenatal massage and spa experience. Erica Jean is very skilled and I would highly recommend!”

Alan Rojas
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Hi! My name is Alan Rojas. I grew up in Mexico. When I turned 17 years old, I had the opportunity to travel to the U.S. and visit my family. After several times of traveling back and forth to Mexico I decided to stay in the U.S. and learn the language and study. I graduated from Therapeutic Massage Program at MATC in May 2017.

I used to spend a lot of time with my grandpa. He used to be a massage therapist back in the day and taught me a few massage therapy techniques when I was a child, thus I learned the great benefit from massage therapy.

Therefore, I choose the massage therapy career to help people feel better. My goal is to specialize in sports massage and work with athletes and to assist to sports events worldwide. Also, I would like to become a personal trainer so I can provide both benefits to help clients have better quality of life.

Alan was knowledgeable and professional. I left feeling relaxed and tension free.”

He was professional, kind and listened to my requests and knew when my muscles were responding in various ways.”

Alan was kind and considerate. Professional and talented. I felt at ease and so good after my massage. It was easy to be his client and peaceful to be at Kneaded Relief.”

Chaz Meszaros
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Hello, my name is Chaz and I joined the Kneaded Relief team as a massage therapist in March of 2018.  I would describe my style as Sports and Myofascial massage with a hint of Thai.  I gravitated towards more therapeutic styles after graduating with an Associate Degree in Applied Science for Massage Therapy from Globe University in 2016.

I am truly passionate about educating the general public and especially athletes on the importance of using maintenance massage as a form of injury prevention and meditation for the mind, body, and soul.

Originally from Madison, WI, I left when I was 15 years old to pursue professional ballet training in Chicago for a year on my own.  I quickly fell in love and moved to South Beach after being offered a full scholarship to join the Miami City Ballet School.  Not too long after, I was offered a contract with the company and danced with Miami City Ballet for five years under the direction of Edward Villella.

I moved to New York City in 2010 in need of surgery and recovery and stayed in the city for two years.  I eventually moved back to Madison to continue my education and future endeavors as a massage therapist.

Chaz was absolutely perfect, had a bad neck which feels much better along with my whole body.”

Jessica Tarp
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

It took me 7 years into my massage career to find a home here at Kneaded Relief Day Spa.  I entered Capri College in Dubuque Iowa, to study massage, just a month after graduating High School.  When I started school, I had never had a massage before.  I wasn’t even sure if I would like it.  It just seemed like a quick thing to go to school for before I decided what I really wanted to go to college for.  Within a week of being in school I fell in love with massage, and the rest is history.

Since finishing school and becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist I have had the opportunity to move around the U.S. and work at multiple different spas with many other massage professionals.  One of my favorite ways to learn more about massage is from my fellow massage therapist sharing their techniques and knowledge. Continually striving to learn new ideas, techniques, and education, both in and outside of my field of massage, makes me a lifelong student.  As I have learned more, I have discovered that my real passion in massage lies in Therapeutic and Sports massage work.

I am constantly amazed at the stresses and demands one can place on the body and at what people are capable of achieving.  I believe that we all have the potential to produce unlimited amounts of energy, power and healing.  I like to focus my energies by helping others through touch and bodywork.  I have acquired a deep respect for the need to balance activity with rest to allow the body time to heal in order to maintain wellness.

When I am not doing massage, I can be found spending time with my family hiking, boating or some sort of activity in the sun.  I am super excited that I have found a home here at Kneaded Relief where I have the opportunity to work with such amazing client base.  Every appointment is an opportunity to help people as they strive to have healthy bodies and minds.

Her touch is gentle and kind. She does a good job with pressure while balancing stress relief.”

Jessica was so fantastic, sweet and friendly.  Everything about her said professional.  She was really knowledgeable and again amazingly friendly.  I will definitely be back to see her.”

Chloe Bradley
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Born and raised in Northern California, I’ve had a penchant for massage since I was young.  My uncle used to give me fake French money in exchange for digging my elbows into his back, and my mom had knots the size of tennis balls in her shoulders.  Add in my own chronic tension from an extra pair of ribs in my neck, and you’ve got the making of a massage therapist!

First I spent four years in Olympia, WA, where I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, with an emphasis on Alternative Health.  After graduation, I headed home to study at the National Holistic Institute of Massage Therapy and eventually joined my younger brother in Austin, Texas where he was attending college.

During my time in Texas, I shifted away from the aggressive deep tissue that has always been my preference.  I began to discover the long-term therapeutic value of relaxation and gentle touch.  Instead of manipulating muscles, we interact with the nervous system, focusing on the nerves responsible for tension and pain.  This approach is able to provide long-lasting relief that is easy to maintain with simple adjustments in daily life.

When my brother graduated and moved back to California, I was ready for my next adventure.  I moved to Madison to be closer to family, including that same uncle who was the first to “pay” me for my services!

I am passionate about my work and often spend my free time studying pain science, mindful movement, and narrative medicine.  When I don’t have my nose in a book, I enjoy dancing, hiking, and spending quality time with my gorgeous black cat.

I’m beyond excited to join the Kneaded Relief team, which has felt like a family since day one.  Whether you’re looking for a new approach to pain relief or want next-level relaxation and pampering, I look forward to creating a session just for you!

Very relaxing, very knowledgeable and provided great tips for at home care.”

Chloe was very professional and understanding. I will definitely go back to Chloe!”

Victoria Gates
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Certified in Therapeutic, Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB)

Hello and welcome! My name is Victoria Gates and I’m so excited to be back and part of the Kneaded Relief team.  My wellness journey has taken me down many paths over the years.  Starting out in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I was honored to work alongside and learn from many knowledgeable healers such as yogis, acupuncturist, chiropractor and nutritionists.  While in Portland OR, I enjoyed hiking the many trails, camping on the mountain and exploring all the treasures of the ocean.  After a few years back home I decided to pack the Volvo wagon up and head back to Madison WI to enjoy lake life, fireflies and all the good times that come with Midwest living.

One thing I love about being a therapist is that every human body is beautiful and unique, and yet universally the same.  Through touch we can become more in-tune with our self and our environment.  So much of the time we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives that we forget to stop and enjoy the simplicity of it all.  I find massage a time to quiet the mind, calm the nerves, let go of our daily tension, and simply breathe and be one with ourselves. I like to listen to the body and let it tell me where to go.  I utilize both intuition and simple technique, which flow together to create a harmony within, and help the body and mind communicate and find balance.  Through a mixture of basic and comfortable technique such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release and breath work, I try to create a smooth, steady and lasting experience for every client.

I’ve been doing massage full-time going on ten years now and love that it continues to be a new experience with every client that walks through my door.  I find there is something to learn from every individual, and human connection is the first step to communication.  I’m honored to take part in your journey of a healthier and more balanced life style.

I so very much enjoyed my massage and time with her.  Honestly it is the best massage I can remember having.”

Firm, steady and continuous.  She recognized where I was needing extra work and focussed on those areas.”

Arrielle Kosmos
WI Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

My name is Arrielle Kosmos and my journey into massage began when my daughter was born, at 10 days old she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.  I wanted to find a flexible career that would benefit my daughter and me. In doing some research I found massage therapy and fell in love with it.  I graduated from Rockford Career College in 2014 and my life has been full of purpose and joy ever since.  I previously worked for two spas in Rockford, IL before I was lucky enough to find a home here at Kneaded Relief.

I love what I do because each day is different, each person has a new challenge for me to solve, and knowing that I will make a difference in their life even for a short time. I love that massage will benefit every person that lies on my table, that I can, with my own two hands, help ease their pain both physical and mental.  Prenatal massage is my favorite kind of massage.  I have taken continued education for prenatal massage and plan to take as many as I can.  I also really enjoy hot stone massage.

I am very grateful to have such a fulfilling career and to have found a home at Kneaded Relief where I can grow as a therapist.

PERFECT!  Her transitions were brilliant!”

She had a firm touch. This was good for my post Ironman body, as there were lots of aches and pains.”
